I love Download II but hate the thought of losing all of the older uploads and asking my users to re upload all those files.

That's possible. You need to edit the files after adding them. Then there's a field to change the uploader.

There are currently no importers for other download mods. I see you are using vBadvanced Dynamics, which is a commercial add-on. So I can't create an importer for it (+ vBa Dynamics has a very different setup, using the attachments system).
