Is it possible to automatically (or manually) have edited posts show up as "new".

We often edit data in posts and interested parties have no way of knowing it was changed.
We know we can hit reply and change the data, but this unnecasarily repeats large amounts of data for no useful purpose.

Help / advice would be appreciated.
