In your style, both .alt1 and .alt2 have a padding of 9px applied...this is most likely causing the gap so play around with that a bit to get it looking the way you want, maybe go into the Cybernetic Templates in style manager and go through each template to give it a different padding so you don't affect the forum category areas...hope that helps and you can PM me if you want if you need more help

Thank you very much, I finally solved it. I had to create two new classes in the stylesheet to maintain the appearance of my forum and edit the variables in the plugin xml. Looks great now !
