So I took my main server offline for a few days today, and I've had major CPU spiking issues. My database is about 800 mb, and approximately: "Threads: 31,786, Posts: 294,229, Members: 18,650, Active Members: 4,498" ... according to the stats. I just pruned everyone who hasnt' logged in 700 days / and I've done the same with threads.

Now, what sort of server should I shoot for? I'm running a 2.0 x2 p4 dedicated server 2 gigs ram, and it seems fairly good, sometimes its a little slow, but on my shared server, it's using 8 CPUs, and 20% of it's memory (which i think is 2 gigs).

I've turned off everything I can that's not too extreme. I've turned off almost everything except searching, but it still gives me problems. We generally run about 40 members and 100 guests.

I'm not sure what else I can do other than turning off guest access, or how I can help with server performance.

I'm sure I'm missing smoething, but I have no idea what.
