For the font size go to:

AdminCP > Styles & Templates > Style Manager

On selected style hit GO (All Style Options "should" be shown as default)

Now scroll down to "Category Strips (Customized in this Style)"

Now where you see the option for Font Size, make smaller to suit your need.

Don't understand where you're wanting the pic. Are you wanting in Category Strip or under the SubForums?
