The message does NOT mention "Forum" anywhere... why your users are confused, if they're redirected to the page they were before login? (are they, right?)

Anyway, you may search for this phrase in phrases manager and replace for a shorter:

"Login accepted! Processing..."
or just
"Login accepted..."

vBulletin have an option to disable these redirecting message (after posting a thread, a reply, saving profile options, etc), but I think the login screen is not included here. But give it a try.
