I am looking at the datastore table's forumcache record ... I am looking at it from the perspective of the external.php RSS2 feed SQL statement.

It looks like it is limiting the forums that actually get considered for inclusion in returned feed.

What I would like to know is ... what is in the forumcache? What gets stored in it? Where/when are things stored in it? What controls how long the cache exists?

Any information illuminating the mystery would be wonderful.
