vboptions > user registration options > thread display mode <- set that for new registered users

Everyone who is already registered can change the order in User CP > Edit Options > Thread Display Mode
or
If you want to set it for everyone yourself, go to Maintenance > Execute SQL Query > Posts - Oldest First > Continue. You must set yourself up correctly in the config.php file first to be allowed to run queries.
