Pixel advertising almost? I didn't know that still worked I actually think your forum is a lot better designed than your homepage (even though the skin isn't the best in the world). I would work on the .tborder class and change the border color to be much lighter, as it still seems to be that black blue and it kinda throws things off. I would use a very light color or maybe none at all.

Also, I would work on making your homepage itself a tad more structured in terms of placement. Everything else is pretty basic. I guess it's not such a bad idea leaving the default icons as it fits, and the website isn't entirely based around vB anyway.
