Then add it to the online list also (You'll need to grab the html from your online.php page and add it into the template). And you can just add 1 to the user totals.

The other option is to create a cron job that just keeps that user 'active'. (I guess, I've never tried anything like this.)

(I could have sworn there was a mod kinda like this - Fake Users. Why not check it out?)
