vb.org Archive - View Single Post - Enabling links in archive posts?

Hi, would it be complicated to alter the PHP that handles the archive pages (in vBulletin) so that users can click on links? At the moment any link found in a post in your forum archive is plain text and therefore non-'clickable'. Any thoughts?

Btw, before anyone says, I know the archive is meant to be light weight and text only, but I have a certain situation where I need to have links enabled. I know this will involve editing the core PHP files - which is why I'm asking in the programming discussion forum
