Sounds like a plan, my concern is already belong to two usergroups, as primary and secondary.
Makes stuff complicated when we already have forum permissions set in multitude of places, that I really dont wanna whip thru and update.
Perhaps VBSEO, can code this so that we may enter USERNAME of acceptable admins.
So..
Checkbox, that only accesible by Admin Usergrp
With drill down selection of the users within that usergroup, allowing you to select on the fly... which member of that usergrp can have access.
Or just a simple username entry, so enter the username of the person you want to have control.
This way if you ever need for vbseo or the like ( inc google, legal whatever ) you can just assign access to this particular function, via this method, rather than granting that user full access as an admin.
We do similar on a eccomerce site we run, whereby we allow access thru a back door, for our bank, so that they can run audits as and when. It is fully logged and via https
But it MEANS we know they cant rummage around and accidentally delete stuff
