The header image is nice, but its a little big at 75.04 KB. Which is almost the maximum size of the entire home page. The recommended home page should not be any larger then 75kb - 100kb. And just the header image is 75kb.
Nice colors, I like the blues and oranges.
Ok, I know there is a forum around there somewhere - but I can not find a link to the forum index on the homepage. It looks like I have to click a link in the left column, then somehow go to the index? Why not just provide a link to the index on the home page, or make it easier to find.
I suggest that you move the top 5 stats to the bottom of the page. There is too much "clutter" at the top of the forum.
The meta description is a little long and full of trash words.
Quote:
<meta name="description" content="A forum for parents to chat about Family, Babies, Toddlers, Kids, Pregnancy & Labor, and so much more! Come and enjoy our parenting message board." />
|
Something simple like "A parent forum" would probably do just as good. Or something like "A parent forum about Family, Babies, Toddlers, Kids, Pregnancy and Labor" would probably be a lot better then what your using now.
Dont use symbols in the meta description. Some search engines have problems with symbols, so exclude them. Use as few trash words in the meta description as possible. And right now yours has 13 that I count. In the examples I gave you there are 3 trash words.
