You manually deleted a field used by an active mod (why ??), hardly surprising you then get a database error. What did you expect to happen ?

You re-created the field you deleted, therefore fixing the error you caused in the first place.

Just to be clear as well, there is nothing in this modification that can affect emails, private messages or a number of other things mentioned in various threads.
