You sure wouldn't want to base this hack on the Avatar hack. The two would actually be completely unrelated. For this one, you'd have a category (i.e. 1, 2,3,...5) which has corresponding levels of membership, upon which you would then have images corresponding to those levels based upon the category.

It would be much easier to write something from scrath than to try and adapt the Avatar Hack for this.
