I wont let this develop into a slanging match.
However, as previously stated its a good idea.
However, you are allowing members to add their details avatar and direct profile link to your site.
Furthermore, on adding a forum, you do not "as of this morning" ascertain if that person is the forum owner/administrator.
Actually from what I read it states, we will visit your profile and confirm. Perhaps I read that wrong, I dont wish to do it all over again, but this does lead to issues regarding, how the hell are you gonna "veto" said forum, without then joining said forum.
The above from your administrative point of view.
I would have thought your best bet would be to create a profile page that the avatars link to, with user submitted info. This then could have a link back ( within that profile page , to said users other forum profile )
The avatar on your front page, ( avatar icons ( for individual members ) would best be linking direct to the forum minus the users /member/myname.html part
This could ( as you do already, be scripted to provide stats to forum owners, to then display those stats on their forums, ie:
usera + userb + userc combined click thrus.
Dont get me wrong, I am not poo pooing your idea, however it needs to be better thought out and administered.
This could, as you well know be a exceptional forum tool, and provide forums with some good 3rd party residual tracking.
However as it stands it does nothing for an individual forum owner, and in my humble opinion detracts from "forum security complicity"
Ste ( will not venture back onto this mod )
