Make a new user group for new members and chose to moderate each post via your admin cp prior to adding it on your forums. You will then be able to see who is a valid member and who is a spammer.

That way you can regulate new members, and check their first few post proir to moving them to the general member Usergroup, which will let member post automatically.

Do this and soon spammers especially humun ones will get fed up posting and joining for nothing
