Your left wondering if this actually helped the person and could benfit other people who have the same issues. People of this nature I never help again. Thankyou or not I don't really require nor do I expect it so it doesn't bother me too much apart from what I explained above.

This 100%. I couldn't have said it better myself. I tend to get a lot of downtime at work, so I pass some of it by trying to help people here. I just tend to wonder if I'm actually helping or not, so I appreciate when someone says it worked (or didn't). If 5 people have the same question (and usually do), I don't want to give 5 people the same wrong answer, ya know?
