For At the bottom of a thread it says who is viewing it and if applicable, who is replying to it:
Go to AdminCP>vBulletin Options>vBulletin Options>Thread Display Options (showthread)
Show Users Browsing Threads: Yes (w/e you want it to be)

dont know how to do the italics, but that shows the people viewing
