You are confusing me now. Are you wanting to have pages that use the vbulletin login system to check a users userid and thus set up permissions on whether they can see a page or not? If so, you need to include the global.php file in your page like in the article I linked you to. I suppose you don't have to follow the rest of the article, but you would have to include global.php. The template/rest of the php in that article (under the heading Creating a Custom Script - the four steps I mentioned above) simply helps you have a page that looks like the rest of your vbulletin forums - the header, navbar, login box, footer, etc.
