vb.org Archive - View Single Post - Project Dead, how to assist?

For a couple of months now, this project has had no developer, no updates, and has needed some fixes.

Understandably, the rule here is no code distribution without author's permission, but what if the author just won't login, won't answer individuals, etc?

This project is a pretty decent project, something that shouldn't be just thrown away here. What would it take for me to get permission to update things, aside from contacting the (missing???) author that doesn't want to reply to emails??
