You have to rebuild counters with Maintenance tools:
Post Thanks -> Recounters
Can happen because of some wrong write operation to your database.

Where they have to go?
May be you didn't upload
post_thanks_admin.php file correctly to your admincp folder?

What can I try? I have various styles installed on my forum and it happens in all of them.

1st, try this with default style with out any changes in it.
2nd, try to disable other products as I think it can be caused by one of them.
