There's quite a few staff on our team at the moment and we often get duplicate accounts come through - whilst we investigate the user is still sitting there in the moderation que. Whilst we could just notify the team and team members check their designated forum before approving new members, it would be great if there could be a little box where you can write notes.

I've illustrated my idea below;
