I had the same issue, so I just set the "New Posts" to ignore ALL of the boards I had RSS feeds in. (I kept my RSS feed imports on their own separate boards)

I'm thinking the best way would be just to set "New Posts" to ignore any post by the username I've assigned to the feed (Reason Bot). Thought about adding a conditional to that (ignore when the number of replies is zero) but don't want to hammer the database too hard when folks click on "new posts".

Then again, I can just tell my membership to go pound sand. I only use feeds in two sub-forums, although one of the feeds does pull quite a few articles (6) each time it runs.
