For some reason, our membership is getting cranky over the use of RSS feeds into a couple of select forums. While I have given them the ability to ignore a forum, many don't wish to do that, and would rather ignore the feed itself when clicking "new posts".

So, my quandary. How to keep the feed, but have "new posts" ignore anything started by the userid I've assigned to the feed. I have an idea of how to have search ignore that, but am unsure of the syntax. I also don't want to create a huge burden on the database. Would adding this to the "new posts" link create too many additional queries?
