Hey whatsup all, I really love this community... reminds me of the old school open source community message boards

I just need some pointers in the right direction or some serious help

Basically, I want it so a user can only post a maximum of twice in a row in certain forums... What options do I have?

Also I want a real-time character counter on the post reply or post topic screen so the user knows how many characters he/she is typing/ has left...
