It's not necessarily religion that is right or wrong it's what people perceive it to be what they read much like a contract that has been drawn up it means many different things to many different people.

What we have to realise is that religion & religious teachings like chinese whispers has over aeons become distorted nothing is the absolute truth everything is an illusion. The only thing you can rely on is your own truth & authenticity. Peace will only ensue when people take back their power.
