Sorry if this is a silly question....but where do I look for templates hooks?

2nd question..
How do I......1. Disable automatic template edit in the Change threads/posts owner settings... should I need to edit templates.

I could make good use of this mod with the ability to change date and time of the post/thread.
The previous version doesn't allow change of date/time...right?
