The last 2 days, on both vBSEO'd sites and not, the following results are in the SiteMap Generator Report Update email. This is for at least 4 sites that I am managing, all on separate hosts and hosting companies:

Google ping: Successful.
Yahoo ping: FAILED.
Ask ping: Successful.
Moreover ping: Successful.
Live.com ping: Successful.

Same here. Last two days for me too.
