Another point I'll make.

Suggestion Area:

The title states exactly that, expect suggestions, constructive feedback even negative feedback. What you may class as a member merely whining may be the member improving ways of bettering the site. If your one of these types of staff members who don't like to listen then you shouldn't have a suggestion area. Members will put time into a site that is worthwhile to them so going on the concept of "your site is going downhill" followed by a philosophy remark such as

Is seriously flawed. Maybe it's not the person who's the idiot but the person who doesn't like to listen to feedback or evolve the forum/site to changes. It goes both ways.

If someone constructively made a suggestion/remark about a specific area which is going downhill maybe look into it and see if the changes are warranted. Just because one admin says it so doesn't make it so. Unless your jean luc picard in which case you can make it so.
