That is actually an issue with FlashChat v5.x.x itself (the AdminCP integration just integrates, it does not change any flashchat functionality at all), which is why both myself and Paul M have released FlashChat v4.7.12 versions of all our hacks for vBulletin 3.8.x.

FlashChat v5.x.x is buggy as hell, even the moderators over at the official FlashChat support forum have said so from time to time.

I would recommend you go back to FlashChat v4.7.12, but if you insist you want FlashChat v5.x.x installed, then you will need to post over at tufat.com for official flashchat support.
