It is kind of what I am thinking... release an updated converter now (prior to the next major release of v3A) but with some cavaets.

Brian is tackling the development from a few different fronts, the code behind, the GUI, and features. Behind the scenes, he is literally going through all of the code line-by-line to optimize it as much as possible & to standardize it to the Jelsoft coding recommendations for add-ons. That also includes moving a lot of the embedded javascript & CSS definitions to their own files and also to take better advantage of caching. For the GUI, he is working on making the templates consistent so that stuff like cell paddings (
just an example!) is driven by the vB style definitions and not hard-coded. In regards to features, it is too early to give any answers yet since nothing is ever 'written in stone' until it is released, but to give some hints... Brian has a full range of products at vBadvanced to get inspriration from and both SKHMS & Oblivion Knight has given us their permission to incorporate their respective add-ons as well. So... it is safe to say that there is a pretty large pool of features being looked at. Of course everything won't make it into the first release of the next major version but the foundation will be built to keep us busy for quite some time.
