I have released more mods on un-official VB support sites then I have here. When I first started on this site way back under a different name i had problems with the staff(my stupidity I guess). So I stopped coming here. I stuck to a friends VB support site, and they also posted other peoples hacks from here. No commercial or Nulled scripts, but other peoples scripts from here and for the most part they would credit the authors from here. I view it as more people getting access to the code I create, which Im happy with.
In my view, we post these mods so people get use out of them. I do it because I enjoy coding and when someone finds a piece of code I create useful its great. Whether its on this site or another site I don't really care, although I would like to be credited I understand its not possible to do anything when they don't credit me.
The only time that I can remember as of recent that I actually got a little ticked off about someone stealing my code was on this site a little while back. Someone posted a thread asking for help in the 'request a mod(unpaid)' section and I created a simple plugin to do what he wanted. Someone else here 'repackaged' the quick mod I created into a product and put it up in the modifications section without any credit to me. I seriously got kind of ticked off that time because it wasn't someone taking something I released as a mod and re-releasing it somewhere else so more people could have access to it. It was him taking my code, repackaging it and reposting it on this same site as his own work.
