Finally, as we do the final cleanup, I am relaxed. But I think this hint from veenuisthebest should make it into the docs for server migration. Currently the docs give the impression that tools.php is a delicate, even dangerous tool, only to be installed after advice of a support technician.

In fact, if we had had this knowledge today, I would have migrated the website alone in less than one hour. Without, we were two people working desperately 6 hours with all kinds of server configurations and database fiddling. The other guy missed 2 appointments and we missed the deadline. Such a stunt is not necessary.
