I run a mediocre popular video game site...and I get decent of traffic a day and about 15 new registrations a day. (good ones...not spammers)

I have a decent amount of dedicated , loyal members that do most of the posting....about 100 of those kinds of members.

But most people just register and dont post. Why are so many people like this ? Its been like this for years. People just register and do nothing.. are your forums like this too?

Our forums have been around for 6 years.. we have 15,000 members...500,000 posts. But only like a 100 members are active a day. (about 750 different members are active a month)

I have the Arcade mod installed, a nice simple layout with good design. Easy navigation. latest version of VB installed. And a cool, mellow crowd.

What could I add to make my site more popular ? whether its mod wise or just general recommendations. Its been driving me nuts for the last couple years my forums have remained at medium traffic forever it seems.. I just want it to burst through like a volcano but dont know what im missing.

Any tips or recommendations ?
