I'm not sure if this is possible, but its something I think would be a great modification.

I have VBAdvanced installed, with the "News Template" set up for a single forum (restricted to staff posting). Each week we post a new thread/poll for our users to vote on over the next week.

What I'd like to do is have all of our users automatically sent an email with the thread title, image, 100-200 word blurb, and a link to the post. I dont want emails sent on replies, or for other forums, just the single "News" forum.

Is something like this possible without major modifications?
