When I have a link that is to long it is automatically shortened

for example
hxxp://www.vbulletin.org/forum/newth...ewthread&f=111

when I just want it to say
hxxp://www.vbulletin.org/forum/newthread.php?do=newthread&f=111

How do i change this so that the links are not shortened, note: i always use the hyperlink icon thing while posting and put lots of links in code boxes if that will effect anything.
