Gah, I uninstalled (deleted files and images, uninstalled the product, reuploaded the files / images, installed the product, and finally re-added the language file) it again, but the problem persists - it doesn't seem to show. I've played around with the settings and permissions, but can't get a handle on what is causing the problem.

Well I am sorry but I don't remember your problem, it's too hard to follow each person problem within one single thread :/
