Yes, to use this "No-Avatar" images you will need to install
the modification for vBulletin called: Default Avatar

I recommend you to search for it in www.vbulletin.org
as there can be new releases of this modification.

How to use the No-Avatar image?

1.- Rename the image you would like to use as the default
avatar to "defaultavatar.png"

2.- If you installed the mod mentioned before upload the
image to your forum '/images/avatars' folder.

NOTE: Remember that if you are using more than one forum style
you will have to upload the image on each 'yourstyle/images/avatars'
folder!
