because its quick and easy to type. the instructions are not wrong. its just a quick shortcut, you can put the full word if you must but I made it with the abbreviation of information

They are wrong unless you rename the information.gif image to info.gif + change the code to match.
It will not work if you put info rather than information in to the custom bbcode.
