Thanks for that clarification, I saw it as a feature set and not a one person thing as you can see. How is the best way to proceed? I'm on a big enough learning curve just running my forum and dealing with server hackers. 3 seconds? I'm a bit embarrassed. Has this been explained in the past? My searches on both forums only get me to the point of understanding how the current shout filter works with comments that it can be done. If I had a basic understanding of where to approach this in vB I could try to refine it to my satisfaction of counting words. That is if vB can differentiate counts of groups separated by the space character and not a single lowercase or smilie telling the filter all is ok to ignore. If I brought up the wrong thread in the wrong forum, please point me in the right direction. I'm new here.
