With the abundance of community abuse by spammers from all over the world these
days, I was wondering what features vBulletin employs to protect their forums.

I am reluctant to "moderate new members" as I feel that makes the registration
process cumbersome and serves as a nuisance to legitimate parties who want to
post right away.

So, what feature(s) in V3.6.0 can an admin enact to protect against spammers?

Someone over in the vBulletin.com forums told me to come here and ask about
implementing a "question and answer" system. How would I obtain the necessary
"advanced registration application" to do this. I have no idea what it is.
