Well out of desperation I loaded a vb 3.7.5 then enabled hooks, kept everything stock no aditional mods or templates,,, installed 2.6.8+ and get the very same problem.

I'm fresh out of ideas.

Just a note: I uninstalled IBP and installed v3 arcade and all was well with the stock games as far as keeping score. But when I tried to use the v3 tool to import IPB games from the tar directory and played the game , the same thing happens (could not access the game table)

So I uninstalled everything, ran a database repair, made sure all the game tables where gone, uploaded 2.6.8+ with smart ftp, set all folder permissions 777, set all user permissions, saved the category. tried again and no luck........Played with the time out setting,,, no luck,, tried firefox browser and it returns a error completly diff from IE7

whew exhausting for a noob lol.
