Class of 93 here.
It was a blast.
It was hard work, but then I was not one to screw off much with people my own age, or take minimum requirement classes like the masses did to graduate. School is a place to learn not to socialize. I did math through Trigonometry and Math Analysis, science through Chemistry and AP Physics, 3 years of computer technical drafting, extra classes after school, and extra summer school classes on fields I would not get to take during school years. I also did 2 years of Greco-Roman Wrestling and weightlifting. I ran lights, sound and stage equipment during plays and assemblies and worked in the school cafeteria for all 4 years.
Oh, I did goof off on Fridays after school in a organized role playing game with 30-50 people I hosted. (dice, character sheets, maps, figurines, etc)
It is all a mind set and what you want out of it.
