Site Name: The Quad4Forums
URL:
www.vbulletin.org
Description:
A site for people devoted to the General Motors Quad4 and Twincam engines and the vehicles they came in
Reason for Nomination:
I nominate this board b/c of its simple, yet extremely functional design, and its perserverence to weather the storm. This site has undergone an owner change, a server crash, a database corruption (months of which were spent offline hand-rebuilding the SQL database), as well as multiple hacks from random places and people.
The userbase of this site is phenomenal. They are not only online friends, but personal friends who organize meets in different places around the country (see the quadbash), and are there for their fellow boardmates. When I lost my job and my car broke down, a few members sent me the parts I needed, no questions asked.
This board represents what a true vbulletin board should be like. Friendly, knowledgeable members, a decent server/hosting suite, and administrators not afraid to make changes for the better.
