That's with regards to your edited part. I'm sure it could be applied to the developer/contributor area. If someone is posting other peoples work then they are somewhat contributing (not developing). If they have wrote code/designed from scratch then they have developed that submissions which would warrant the developers tag showing in the postbit.
Quality over quantity and gaining titles and tags should not be an agenda to breaking copyright and posting other works and stuff you cannot really support.The motives are there (which I explained before my post got deleted) and it makes way for a database/members having flase tags throughout the board.
The whole title/tagging buisness should def be refined and databases more closely watched for false tagging.

there's no way to check all submissions for the real developer. some, but not all. and those "some" would require an infernal ammount of time.
