But in real life, It can't be done, You will never manage every single light from one central point, To control the whole building from one fusebox is not real.
Then there are the light switches if they are in the off position, then playing with the mains is not going to switch them on.
Each floor on that office complex will have its own mains supply and then feed off to individual fuseboxes, Thats why its impossible to isolate each and every supply with a few thin bits of wire and a remote control.
Looks like a good trick to me, even the guy waving his arms looking at the players through the window is a little to fake to be the truth. When the electric goes off at work, you don't run to the window and start getting angry with someone outside???

A lighting control box is hooked to a central computer in the building. It doesn't matter about the position of the switch. That's how a lot of the buildings control the power incase of emergency, night cleaning... I've also seen light shows put on where they used one, I'm fairly certain it's real.
Even if it is fake, it's a great short film. LOL
