Hi there,
Sorry to ask here. As I am not an IT geek, I would like to seek assistance if the request can be fulfilled. here goes:
I host several forums but all sharing the same central database. Let's say a visitor is registering from forum A, I want that user to assign to a usergroup called "forum A usergroup", while another visitor from forum B, it will auto assign that user to "forum B usergroup". By applying such automation, I will be able to create private forums for specific usergroups.
I believe this can be done by creating a custom profile radio button to select, and then when a visitor register, the script will automatically read the custom profile insertion and assign that user to the designated group.
At the moment, I can manually login to admin and assign each user, for a small network it would probably be not a problem but I foresee tediousness and problems when the network is well established.
your help would be much appreciated.
Thank you.
