But basically they were about that type of design, its amazing when you think that was the very begining of the world wide web. In the early days it didn't matter that you had to wait 13 hours for a 1mb file to download, (and if you could afford the phone bill!) The end result wasn't how long it took to get this file but, the pure fact that you've actually got it
Logging on to a BBS was an expensive hobby, long before the invention of Broadband and all the cheap packages.
Before Dixons bought out Freeserve, The Free Pay as you go Dial up, I had my finger in a few free dial up scripts, but never really followed it through ~ Wish i had now, gave up my dabbling with PC's and went into Engineering
