Yes I am right, and yes your right its not just a ranking issue. However, changing his domain name and location isn't going to solve anything really. He'll still lose all his rankings for the switch, all his traffic that does know .co.uk will be confused for a while probably. But continuing to operate a domain name that has a porn .com version sucks pretty bad too.
Either way, both solutions will have some major drawbacks, its just picking the lesser of two evils and my guess would be the one thats easier on the pocketbooks
